Future Sustainable Projects at Hadlow College

We are constantly evaluating new projects that will improve our sustainability and also be viable; they must deliver a good return on investment.

Sustainability is never complete, and there is always more which can be done to help reduce the carbon footprint of Hadlow College and ensure the campus remains sustainable.
Utilising the natural waste from the College's commercial dairy herd, the equine centre and other college wide resources, we are continually reviewing the feasibility of anaerobic digesters that extract the greenhouse gases and use them to generate heat and power and a product that can be used as fertiliser.
Following the success of our recycling campaign we are investigating other cost-effective ways of reducing our volume of waste, including machines that compress the cardboard and waste before it is collected.
As a college we regularly review our existing projects and are always planning new ones so that we reduce our paper and energy consumption. To find out about the other projects we're considering, or to suggest something we may like to be involved in, please contact us using our enquiry form.
