The Hadlow Carbon Community

Chosen in 2007 by Kent County Council to become one of four low carbon communities in the county, the Hadlow Carbon Community is committed to raising awareness of climate change and the necessity for sustainable use of finite resources. Its ultimate aim is to work towards community-based solutions for some of the problems which are faced.
Hadlow College encouraged the formation of the group and worked with them to submit a joint bid for funding, but it is run by local villagers and this grass roots approach to sustainability is seen as a key factor in its success.  More information on the Hadlow Carbon Community is available on their dedicated website
