Formerly known as an NVQ, this course is suitable for those who are new to the industry and have no formal qualifications. You will cover the basicsof animal care such as feeding animals, handling and moving animals, assisting with the careof animals and their accomodation and maintaining safe and effective working practices. Training will take place in the workplace at a suitable time arranged with the assessor.
Entry Requirements Students must be employed or in a 1 year work placement within the industry. You will undertake an initial assessment to determine your starting level.
