Recognised in its own right as a qualification, this course covers a wide range of subjects and can be used as a stepping stone to becoming a qualified veterinary nurse. Making full use of our practical rooms and animal collection, you will be taught by experienced veterinary nurses and be given excellent opportunities to practice your animal handling and husbandry skills.

Entry Requirements

Students must be 16 years old or over and:

  • Possess appropriate work experience in a veterinary practice (this does not have to be paid employment).  We recommend that all students carry out a minumum of 2 days per week working in a veterinary practice and 1 day per week attending the College course.
  • Have a keen interest in animals

1 year, 1 day a week. BVNA examinations will take place in June.
