Students benefit from a wide range of links with commercial nurseries, research institutes, organic producers, public and privately owned gardens as well as exposure to the retail world through our onsite garden centre. The College is also a member of the Royal Horticultural Society; NCCPG and the Hardy Plant Society.
This qualification is awarded upon completion of any 5 City & Guilds courses, with each one culminating in a written test of short answer questions. The modules which contribution to the achievement of this qualifications are: Lawns, Landscapes & Structures; Plant Propagation; Weeds, Pests & Diseases; Organic Gardening; Garden Design; Garden History; Growing Vegetables & Salads; Trees Shrubs & Hedges; Beds & Borders; Ponds & Water Features; Growing Fruit &and Wildlife Gardening. Each course includes a written examination which we expect students to sit. These units can either be booked individually, or a discount of £100 on the tuition fee is available if payment of all fees is made in advance.
