As part of the Tonbridge Angels Football Academy, students will, in addition, undertake competitive football matches and have the opportunity to gain FA Level 1 professional coaching certificates. Students can also undertake, at an additional cost, a first aid at work certificate.
Assessment Method:
Written assignments and practical assessments.
Entry Requirements:
Applicants should have 4 GCSEs at Grades A* - C, 2 of which must be English, Maths or Science or have a full Level 2 qualification at Merit in a relevant subject.
Applicants to the Academy also need to successfully complete a trial and, those who wish to enter the Football Academy, also need to meet the league entry requirements for the Football Association.
Progression Routes:
Successful students can progress into higher education sports programme. Alternatively they can pursue a career in the industry working with local authorities, sports centres, and professional clubs at a coaching level.
