Behind the scenes at the Chelsea Flower Show
On Thursday 23rd September 2010 Penshurst Place & Gardens, in association with Hadlow College will be delighted to welcome Richard Beales of Peter Beales Roses and to hear his fascinating talk on life behind the scenes at the Chelsea Flower Show.
Peter Beales Roses have won 15 Gold medals at Chelsea in the 25 years that they have been attending the show and, as Managing Director at Peter Beales Roses, Richard has been responsible for the design of all the winning stands. This makes him more than qualified to take the audience on a backstage tour of the Chelsea Flower Show. Richard is also a successful photographer and has produced two films on the subject of roses.
Before the talk begins guests will be able to enjoy refreshments in the inner courtyard within the beautiful surroundings of Penshurst Place, and where many different varieties of roses have been growing for over 400 years.
Doors open at 7.00pm. Talk begins at 7.30pm.
