Work-Based Learning Proves a Hit at Hadlow
Five Intermediate Horticulture Apprentices and two Advanced Apprentices in Sports Turf - Green keeping, have started on programme in July with Hadlow College. They've discovered that choosing college does not necessarily mean choosing to postpone their careers. Work based learning is an innovative approach to gaining a qualification since it offers training to employees in the work place with minimal attendance at college.
Students in suitable employment can, with the approval of their employer apply for an apprenticeship if they are 16-18 years (tuition and examination fees are fully funded). If they are aged between 19 and 24 years there will be an employer contribution towards the cost of tuition. To find out more about this innovative approach to studying, please contact our Work-Based Learning Department.
