The Student's View...
Sam Clarke
National Diploma in Fish Management

A fisheries course just seemed like the natural choice for me given my interest in angling and desire to work in the fish industry. Having made these decisions I started to research which Colleges offered courses, and what the qualification was like. It quickly became obvious that Hadlow was by far the best choice.

Throughout the College there is a friendly atmosphere with staff always keen to help and offer support when needed. I’ve made lots of new friends with the College bar providing
a great place for everyone to mix together.

I’m really pleased I decided to come here. Within the course there are lots of practical activities, all of which are relevant to the theory we learn. We will go out for the day
electrofishing as well as use the facilities on site to get to know about their breeding patterns and how to care for them. All of these skills I know I’ll be able to use in my final career.

Before I do that though I’m going to do a foundation degree course at Hadlow. The extra knowledge I gain from this will beinvaluable in my job search.
