Residential accomodation at Hadlow College

Our new accomodation block at Grove Farm

Grove Farm accommodation at Hadlow College, our en-suite facility for over 18s

Residential Accommodation

Full-time students are eligible to apply for accommodation if needed as part of their course, either because it includes early morning duties, or because their family home is too far away.

We have 160 on-site rooms at Hadlow campus each one of which offers shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. There are a further 55 en-suite rooms at Grove Farm for over 18's with shared kitchen facilities. Each kitchen is fully equipped with a cooker, microwave, toaster, fridge-freezer, storage cupboards as well an iron and ironing board. All you are required to bring with you are kitchen utensils, crockery, bed linen and personal items.  Both sites have laundry facilities.

We accommodate male and female students separately if they are under 18, and under and over 18's are housed in separate blocks.

Accommodation is offered on a half-board basis, which comprises breakfast and a choice of lunch or evening meal during the week and breakfast over the weekend. All meals are served in the on-site restaurant where a range of healthy eating and vegetarian choices are available.

A number of resident wardens live on-site and are on call in case of emergency. This, combined with the cover of our Student Support Services Team, ensures a 24hour on-call facility.

Disabled access

Rooms are available which have been specifically adapted to suit the needs of students with a range of physical disabilities. Please talk, in confidence, to our Student Support Services Team if you have any specific requirements.

How to apply

You will be given details on the accommodation offered when you come for your interview and, once you've accepted your place, you will be forwarded an application form to complete.

Any full-time student is eligible to apply for accommodation, however preference is given to those who live a considerable distance from Hadlow College. In addition, course hours are taken into consideration, particularly for those courses that have early morning or late practical duties.

Rooms are allocated in a priority order and if over-subscribed we may have to place some students on a waiting list. We will support our adult students in the process of looking for off-site accommodation if necessary. It is recommended that you apply for accommodation as soon as you have been offered and accepted a place on one of our full-time courses.
