Formerly known as an NVQ, this course is aimed at students who are already working in the industry and provides an understanding of the essential skills needed to within the landscape sector. Complementing your existing experience with a mix of theory and practical training, by the end of the course you will have gained a solid foundation within this industry and be able to carry out a variety of different tasks. Training will take place in the workplace at a suitable time arranged with the assessor.

Students must be employed or in a 1 year work placement within the industry.

Course Content

This can include:

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Levelling and preparing sites for landscaping
  • Use and maintain non-powered and hand-held powered tools and equipment
  • Clearing horticultural and landscaping sites.
