- 170 hectare fully functioning commercial farm with an additional 50 hectares of grazing land.
- 200 hectares of land for arable teaching purposes on a neighbouring farm

Industry Links
Students benefit from close ties with regional aocieties and farming clubs as well as organisations such as the National Farmers' Union (NFU), the Young Farmers, DEFRA, and RABDF. In addition, students are encouraged to attend relevant industry conferences and exhibitions.
Formerly known as an NVQ, this course develops the essential skills and knowledge required to work within the livestock production industry and can be tailored to specifically examine the issues within beef, sheep, dairy, pig or poultry sectors. Training will take place in the workplace at a suitable time arranged with your assessor.
Entry Requirements Applicants should have a profile of a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grades C - D, which preferably include 2 in English, Maths or Science within this range.

Diploma: Portfolio of evidence and practical assessment.
Apprenticeship: Portfolio of evidence and practical assessment and on-line tests.
Course Content Plus optional units relevant to the industry within which the candidate works, e.g. prepare for, carry out and complete teh miling of livestock, prepare for the shearing of livestock and monitor and maintain livestock on outdoor sites.
