Library & Information Services

All students at Hadlow College have an entitlement to make use of the Library Service.

The Library Service aims to support and enhance the teaching and learning at Hadlow College by providing relevant collections of information and purposeful learning environments for all members of the College community. At our Hadlow, Mottingham and Canterbury campuses we have designated libraries with the full range of facilities.

With over 20,000 specialist resources, both print and electronic, the stock covers all curriculum areas. An On-Line Public Access catalogue (OPAC) and Library Services Homepage ebale students to be aware of the resources available and contain links to a wide range of support materials to encourage successful independent study.

The Library at Hadlow campus is open all year round, with extended opening hours into the evenings and weekends during term-time. Mottingham and Canterbury Libraries are open during term time only.

Each library has resources to reflect the local curriculum, areas for private study with tables and computer terminals on open access and, of course, appropriately qualified staff to support students

Higher education students at Hadlow also have access to the University of Greenwich library resources and computing facilities at each of their three sites - Greenwich, Avery Hill and Medway.  This includes remote access to a range of electronic resources via the University's student portal.

To contact the Library please call 01732 853245.

Computer Services

Students benefit from five modern computer suites at our Hadlow campus with one at both of our Mottingham and Canterbury sites. These reliable PCs are equipped with specialist software that is needed for students' work, as well as colour printing facilities. The College has wireless access solution in place giving students internet access to areas around the College and residential blocks.

An e-mail address and mailbox is provided to each student which is also accessible from the internet. In addition, IT Support is on hand for students' technical queries.
