We are thrilled to announce that one of our Level 4 Higher Diploma Floristry students, Lauren Easter, has been awarded a Gold medal at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.

Lauren took part in the Show’s ‘Future Florist’ competition, now in its fifth year, which rewards the very best students from floristry schools and recognised colleges across the UK. Unlike previous years, this was a stand-alone competition open to individual students, rather than teams of students.

This year’s theme was ‘Evolution’, with students tasked with creating a design to be displayed in the foyer of the RHS building at Vincent Square for the opening night of an RHS Botanical Art exhibition.

Lauren was up against entrants from the Academy of Floristry, Merrist Wood and Bicton Colleges and was the only participant to be awarded a gold in the competition.

Lesley Young, Floristry Team Leader, said: “It’s the first time Lauren has taken part in such an event and her hard work on a hot weekend has paid off. She was so professional and a credit to Hadlow.”

Congratulations on your fantastic win, Lauren!
