Hadlow Group has won another prestigious award: the IoD Chairman’s Award for Business and Governance. Mark Lumsdon-Taylor, Hadlow Group Deputy Principal & CEO, was presented with the 2018 Business Award for London and the South at an Awards ceremony on 14th June by journalist Naga Munchetty at the Institute of Directors in London.
The award was won against stiff competition from across the South and London, representing the best of business, public and third sector. From 150 directors that applied and/or were nominated across 10 different categories, 50 were shortlisted and 10 were announced as the London and South winners. The Chairman’s Award is the ‘blue ribbon’ category representing the best of business.
In a climate of public funding reductions, and with the importance of raising the profile of rural business, this award is of huge significance for the further education sector. Theresa Bruton, Chair of the Hadlow Group Board says: “This is a major endorsement of the hard work done by all across the Hadlow Group and the focus on building strong and effective relationships across and beyond the business. Such recognition by the IoD is very much appreciated.”
Paul Hannan, Hadlow Group Principal & CEO, adds: “This is a fantastic achievement by Mark. It reflects the work he has done in positioning the Hadlow Group as a nationally recognised educational business that has an excellent reputation.”
Mark Lumsdon-Taylor concludes, ”We are delighted to have even been considered for such a prestigious award. To win was a genuine shock against the competition. This award demonstrates that Hadlow Group philosophy and approach to business is the right one; one singular focus on its clients, be it students, business or staff, to provide an excellent product in all disciplines.”
Mark, representing Hadlow Group, is now automatically entered into the UK finals of the IoD Director of the Year Awards.
