Tracy Benton

Lecturer & Course Manager for Level 2, Floristry

Tracy is a Master Florist, member of the Training and Education committee for the British Floristry Association (BFA) and Area Manager and Academic Fellow for the BFA’s Institute of Professional Florists (IoPF). She is also a Principal Moderator and Consultant for City & Guilds and a qualified floristry judge on behalf of the UK Floristry Judges Guild.

She has been in the industry for over 25 years, and has been the sole trader for Blooms of Benton, creating bespoke floral designs for events and businesses, for over 20 years. She still works in industry to inform her Continual Professional Development and to embed current market techniques and trends into her teaching.

As a member of the Skills Council, she was invited in 2012 to talk about CPD in subject specialist for Institute for Learning (IfL) in front of House of Commons and was invited back there to launch the Institute of Professional Floristry in 2015.

Tracy has conducted numerous workshops and demonstrated at many venues, from NAFAS events to RHS Chelsea. She was Event Florist for Imperial College, Knightsbridge for 5 years, where she had the privilege to create flowers for The Queen.
