The course is delivered through a range of practical sessions using the facilities at Hadlow hatchery and Grove lakes. There are some classroom based sessions.
Assessment is though a range of styles including practical assessments, photographic and video evidence logs, workbooks and written assignments.
Once completed students can progress onto a Level 2 Fisheries qualification.
Typical employers include local authorities and public sector organisations such as The Environment Agency, as well as commercial fisheries, water companies, wholesalers and angling clubs.
Steel toe capped boots, waders, wellington boots and appropriate outdoor all weather clothing.
