Trainees will take assessments to the value of 60 credits in each year. Each module consists of a range of assessments including assignments, module reflections, teacher and peer observations, a micro teach (in module 1), and a progress log where you reflect on different aspects of your development. There are 4 observations carried out in year 1 and 4 observations in year 2. These provide the opportunity for trainees to apply their knowledge and understanding, to improve subject specialist teaching and to receive practical advice.
This qualification offers you a breadth of potential employment routes including Further Education colleges, sixth form colleges, adult and community learning, work-based learning and prison education.
