The Hadlow College campus in Mottingham offers land-based training just outside London
Our new, 142 square-foot, Animal Unit, allows for increased biosecurity at the centre, increasing the animal diversity and enabling us to expand the collection of specific species. Students work in their practical lessons to fit the unit out, and develop the resources available. The considerable size of the animal unit allows for a large volume of animals, increasing the potential for student/animal contact.
The unit includes a reptile room, aquatic room, small mammal room and feed room, used in practical lessons by the students. We also have aviaries and paddocks for goats and pigs.
Part-time horticultural students are able to work in the glasshouses and woodland area.
