Salary: £8.27 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week 52 weeks per year, fixed term for up to one year (Maternity Cover)

Situated on the outskirts of Hadlow village, the Saplings Rural Nursery provides a safe and fun environment for young children to learn and explore.
We are looking to recruit an Early Years Practitioner to work as part of our busy team, providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment for the children at the Pre-school. The ideal candidate will hold a relevant Level 3 qualification but applications from candidates qualified to Level 2 and prepared to work towards a Level 3 qualification will be considered.
The role involves providing a high standard of physical, social and intellectual education, both indoors and outdoors, at all times. Working closely with the other members of our team to offer a programme of activities suitable to the age range of the children and developing partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child’s development. You will assist in delivering a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years.
The ideal candidate must be self-motivated and responsible. We serve children with a wide range of needs so a keen interest in child care and child development is important. Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with parents are also essential. The successful candidate must be a team player with a flexible approach.
The salary will be reflective of the level of qualification. This is a full time post and the Pre-school opening hours are 7.45am to 6pm. The post attracts 25 days’ annual leave, 3 statutory closure days (designated by the Hadlow Group to the 3 non-public holiday days that fall between Christmas and New Year) and 8 bank/public holidays. The Pre-school closes for two weeks over the Christmas period (dates to be confirmed each year by the Pre-school Manager) and year round staff will be required to take annual leave at this time for any working days not covered by the statutory and public holidays.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check and provide proof of their right to work in the UK.
