Learning Resource Centre Advisor (E-Resources)
Salary: £15,961 to £17,391 pa, pro rata
Hours: Part time 20 hours, 38 weeks per year

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to work as part of a team supporting students in a busy Learning Resource Centre (LRC) to use a range of resources.
The whole team works to present a welcoming and positive image of the LRC to all its users. The successful candidate will participate in the issuing, receiving and re-shelving of lending resources and will work at staff points throughout the LRC to give front line assistance to students, often with problems using common IT applications. The role includes a focus on promoting our e-resources, in particular e-books, to students and helping them to use these resources.
Excellent communication skills are important in this role as it involves working in a small team, is student facing and caters for a diverse range of student and staff needs. Strong IT skills are needed and the successful candidate will hold a Level 2 IT qualification or be willing to work towards one.
This is a part-time post working 20 hours per week including some weekend and evening work
As well as a contributory pension scheme, health cash plan and free car parking, this post also attracts 5 weeks holiday each year, pro rata (excluding bank holidays).
The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check and provide proof of their right to work in the UK. Where applicable, a prohibition check will be carried out.
