Today (1st November) is National Engineering Day. It is an annual celebration to honour the contributions that engineers make to society. Beyond the festivities, it is a day to reflect on the profound impact that engineering has on our lives.
The event was created by the Royal Academy of Engineering in 2019, as they continue to spread awareness and highlight the difference that engineers make to our future.
The global Agricultural Engineering industry contributes significantly to global food security and sustainability.
The Agricultural Engineers Association claims that UK exports of agricultural engineering machinery and equipment was valued at over £2 billion in 2022; a 30 percent increase from the previous year.
The Royal Academy of Engineering also run an ‘Everyday Engineering Competition’. Encouraging people to submit their innovative ideas, as voting takes place today. To find out more, visit their website.
Hadlow College offer courses in Agricultural Engineering, where students will engage in land-based engineering. They also have the opportunity to operate machinery in our training yard.
