Hadlow college is taking part in the Hedgehog Friendly Campus Bronze Award scheme and our college team, Hadlow Hedgehogs has been taking part in this year’s Litter Pick Challenge running from 20th September – 29th November.
Ex Hadlow student, Megan Lena Hutchinson is taking part in The Wincanton Charity horse race on the 24th October 2021 to raise money for Racing Welfare.
On the 27th July at Hadlow College’s Grove Farm Fisheries, The Angling Trust, The Environment Agency, and the Fisheries Management team joined forces to hold an awareness event around educating members of Kent Police, Metropolitan Police and Sussex Police about illegal activities in the fishing industry.

A biodiversity management student at the University’s Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE) is asking the public to report sightings of terrapins (North American native freshwater turtles) in the UK.
The Turtle Tally project was initiated and developed at the end of 2018 and is based at the National Centre for Reptile Welfare located at Hadlow College. The Turtle Tally citizen science project collects data on the distribution of released pet terrapins in the UK.
A cohort of GCSE English students at Hadlow College recently took part in the long established (since 1991) Young Writers Competition, which asked students to write their own thrilling mini saga called “Trapped” in just 100 words.
HE Team Leader for Animal Management, Joseph Parker-Jones and Animal Management Lecturer Dr. Rena Boothe together with the Level 6 Animal Conservation and Biodiversity BSc students at Hadlow College, have been cited in a published handbook by The Royal Entomological Society and author Olga Sivell.
