Courses for Adult Students

Learning does not stop when you become an adult and nor is it exclusively for the young. At Hadlow College we offer a range of apprenticeships, full and part-time courses, including university-level programmes, suitable for you as an adult. So, if you want to return to studying to brush up on an existing skill, or are looking to change careers and want to learn something new, then look no further. You’ll be learning alongside like-minded individuals in the beautiful Kentish countryside.

To find your perfect course, simply search in the box above or browse our list of subject areas. Courses take place across all of our campuses during the day and in the evening.

What is an adult?

Within the further education sector (that is, any course up to Level 3, or any course that is not linked to our university-provision) the term ‘adult’ usually refers to an individual aged over 19 on the 31st August in the academic year the course commences.  For our university-level programmes, a ‘mature student’ is classed as individuals over the age of 21.

Financial Support available

As an adult, the advanced learner loan can help you with the costs of studying. The college also has access to a range of other financial support packages, such as the Care to Learn scheme for childcare costs. For our part-time courses, we also offer a scheme where you are able to spread the costs over the duration of the course (up to a maximum of six months) through equal direct-debit payments.
