Today (15 June) marks the start of British Flowers Week 2026, a nationwide celebration of the UK’s cut flower industry, from the growers and wholesalers to the florists who bring beautiful British blooms to life.
Since 2013, this week has championed locally grown flowers, raising awareness of their quality, sustainability, and artistry. Now led by Flowers from the Farm, the UK’s leading professional trade association for independent flower growers, the event continues to shine a spotlight on homegrown talent.
Across the country, florists, growers, and retailers are hosting creative events such as flower flashes, pop-ups, farm tours, and sustainable floristry workshops.
At Hadlow College, we share this commitment to the future of British floristry. Our Floristry courses are designed to give students the skills, creativity, and industry knowledge to thrive in this evolving sector. We work to high commercial standards, using fresh, on-trend materials supplied by trusted industry partners.
Students learn everything from conditioning flowers and mastering design principles to creating stunning installations for events such as the Chelsea Flower Show.
Our facilities, including professional floristry studios, a cutting garden, and display opportunities in the beautiful Broadview Gardens, offer an inspiring environment for creativity to flourish. Alongside practical design skills, students gain a deep understanding of retail practices, event floristry, business management, and marketing, all essential tools for building a successful career.
