This year’s Equine degree students have continued a long-running project to produce a series of feature articles for Pegasus magazine, the longest established free equestrian magazine dedicated to the South East.
Encouraged by lecturer Patrick Delaney, who has worked closely with the students on the project, they have been tying the feature articles into their dissertation topics. The series has so far included articles from Angel Turley on rider fitness, Louisa Theodorakis on the importance of safety when loading and transporting horses, Chloe Parrett on equine muscles and stretching and Loicia Johnson on Emmett Therapy.
Pegasus Editor, Tim Salmon, said, “I’ve had many people comment to me that they’ve enjoyed the series and that it’s great to see young people getting involved in writing for the magazine. Input from the younger generation and their views is so important to the future of the industry.”
The latest article by Liliana Woods (pictured above), a 1st year BSc Equine Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation student, discusses taking on an off-the-track-Thoroughbred, and is accompanied by a fantastic photo, taken from a series captured by photographer Hannah Cole.
