North Kent College will adopt the public-facing identity North Kent Colleges Group (NKC Group) from September 2026, formalising its evolution into a multi-college organisation and the continued commitment to serving our communities across North and West Kent.
Since expanding in 2020 to include Hadlow and Tonbridge alongside Dartford and Gravesend campuses, the organisation has operated across four main locations under a single governance and quality framework. The new branding reflects this operational reality whilst aligning with wider sector trends towards place-based delivery within strong college groups.
This move reflects the organisation’s growth in most recent years and the commitment to strengthening the identity of each of its local colleges in Dartford, Gravesend, Hadlow and Tonbridge to best serve their respective communities.
From the next academic year, campuses will be rebranded as colleges, with distinct identities and recognising the important role each college plays within their geographic areas to best serve their community and stakeholders.
David Gleed, CEO and Executive Principal commented,
“Our evolution reflects both our growth and our commitment to local communities. Each of our individual colleges play a vital role within their local area, and the move to North Kent Colleges Group provides clarity about how we operate — locally delivered, group supported.
"Our colleges are deeply rooted within their local communities. Moving to North Kent Colleges Group provides clarity about how we operate – strong and resourceful local colleges, supported by a resilient group structure, serving the needs of our local community and stakeholders.
"This change reflects our growth and our commitment to combining strong local responsiveness with robust group governance. It brings clarity to our structure while preserving the stability of the organisation."
The refreshed brand look and feel will be introduced from September 2026 as part of a phased rollout.
