Residential Accommodation at NKC Hadlow College
Residential accommodation gives students the opportunity to live on campus while studying at NKC Hadlow College. It allows students to become part of a supportive college community, develop independence, and fully experience student life.
With over 200 single study bedrooms, students have access to pastoral support, social spaces, dining facilities, and enrichment activities throughout the week.

What will my Accommodation Package include?
- Choice of Dining Options: Students are provided with a half board package, which includes breakfast and dinner from the canteen, offering a range of healthy and delicious food.
- Equipped Kitchen: Residential blocks include a shared kitchen featuring a cooker, fridge, and freezer for your cooking needs.
- Shared Bathroom or Shower Facilities: Students have access to clean and well-maintained communal bathrooms for your convenience.
- All Utility Bills Covered: Accommodation fees include water, electricity, or gas
- 24/5 Staff Availability: A member of staff is on-site 24 hours a day, five days a week when students are in accommodation.
- Pastoral Support: Students have access to counselling services and personal support.
- Regular Cleaning: communal areas are regularly cleaned and maintained to provide students with a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment.
- Enrichment Programmes: Students can take part in a wide range of enrichment opportunities, including health and wellbeing activities, social events, and student-led activities throughout the year.
- On-Site Gym: Stay fit and active with our fully equipped gym, available for all residents.
- On-Site Launderette: Convenient laundry facilities for all residents.
- Communal Lounges: A welcoming space to relax and socialise with fellow residential students in some of the blocks.
How do I apply for Residential Accommodation?
If you are a full-time student, you will be eligible to apply for Residential Accommodation.
Note that priority will be given to students who live further away from NKC Hadlow College and to students on courses that require early morning or late duties.

Please note, the College would require a £50 booking fee and £200 deposit.
Students wishing to apply for support with accommodation costs can apply to the Residential Bursary Fund (RBF). Successful applications may cover the majority of residential accommodation fees, with students only required to pay a small contribution, excluding the accommodation deposit and booking fee (£25). Financial support is assessed based on household income. To be eligible for Residential Bursary Fund support, household income will typically need to be below £28,000 per year. Applications for the Residential Bursary Fund can be completed once a student has accepted their offer to study at NKC Hadlow College. Eligible students will receive further information about the application process and required evidence. To apply for assistance through the RBF, students should complete the online financial support application form once they have accepted the offer of a place to study at NKC Hadlow College. Students living in residential accommodation at NKC Hadlow College are supported by our experienced Residential Support Team, who are available throughout the week, day and night. They will provide guidance, wellbeing support, and assistance whenever needed. The Residential Support Team work closely with the curriculum staff to help students stay on track with their course, achieve their educational goals, and successfully adapt to living away from home. Students are supported both academically and personally, helping them build confidence, independence, and life skills during their time at college. In addition to academic support, students are encouraged to take part in a wide range of enrichment, wellbeing, and social activities. These opportunities help students develop new skills, make friends, and become part of the wider college community. Many activities are student-led, allowing residents to shape clubs, events, and sports activities based on their interests.
